Air Quality Initiative

The Department of Pesticide Regulation’s Air Quality Initiative is a comprehensive effort to improve air quality statewide. The initiative targets air toxins as well as smog-producing chemicals from pesticide emissions, and focuses on four areas:
– Reducing emissions from fumigants;
– Reformulating other pesticide products to reduce emissions;
– Promoting new, more environmentally-friendly technologies, and
– Developing strategic pest management partnerships in concert with industry
