The Environmental Monitoring Branch scientists select pesticides for analytical method development by researching criteria such as pesticide use patterns, physical-chemical properties, toxicity and previous detections. The Branch contracts with laboratories to develop these methods to analyze environmental samples and sampling media collected by our staff.
